Hi Girls,
I have the stats on turnovers but I cannot find them. When I do I will post them. One thing to remember is the players that handle the ball alot have alot more opportunities to make turnovers. Players that only have the ball in their hands for a few seconds at a time should not have a high turnover percentage.
At UNC they calculate turnovers based on minutes played. So many turnovers per minute. I guess I could do this but it would be somewhat of a guess since we do not track that stat.
If any of you girls would like for me to email you the list of things you should work on for next season and for your future basketball developmentto work on over the summer you can email me at bmayunc@earthlink.net and I will email it back to you. This way it stays between you and me. If you want to talk about it that is fine but due to the nature of working on areas to improve I think it is better to handle it like this rather than publish it on this blog.
BTW, I do not think it will be anything on this worklist that will surprise anyone and it is certainly not intended to hurt anyone's feelings. Everyone should try to enhance what we do good and improve the weak areas to become a more complete player or as the case maybe to match our skills to the position we are best suited for.
Rabbit is planning to put in our pressure defense or maybe some form of our pressure defense for next years Varsity. It will be fun watching the girls I have sent to the Varsity play the style they were good at during JV.
